A cappuccino is an approximately 150 ml (5 oz) beverage, with 25 ml of espresso coffee and 85ml of fresh milk the foaming action creates the additional volume.

A most common confusion is what kind of milk we have to use to make a perfect cappuccino. As per me, full cream milk is perfect to make a good texture cappuccino but unprofessional in making coffee like me should go for skimmed milk as there is no fat so coffee provides more bubbles and easy to make foam.

Every drink name has its own story and when it comes to Cappuccino it's important for coffee lovers to know the reason so the famous word Cappuccino' takes its name from the Capuchin friars.

The Capuchin friars are members of the larger Franciscan orders of monks, and their order was founded in the 16th century in Italy. They were renowned for their missionary work among the poor, as well as their dedication to extreme austerity, poverty, and simplicity.

When the cappuccino drink was first introduced in Italy, it was named after the Capuchin friars because the color of the espresso mixed with frothed milk was similar to the color of the Capuchin robe. The name, whimsical in a world of utilitarian coffee-drink names, stuck; we borrowed it into English in the late 1800s.
